Why Berry Nichols opposes Sunday sales?

For a Walhalla area man, drinking spirits once overcame him, and he sees the bad for general society that can come of expanding opportunities to imbibe on the first day of the week. And that’s why Berry Nichols opposes the Sunday alcohol sales question that is reserved for this November’s ballot in Oconee County. Nichols spoke out today at 96.3/WGOG on why he and others are going to vote no in this November’s referendum, and he asked this question, “Will this make better quality of life for Oconee County citizens?” It’s an issue that divides him from a task force led by the Oconee Chamber of Commerce. Our interview with Nichols can be heard during Sunday’s ‘Community Sound Off’ on 96.3/WGOG.
