Witness testimony lasts two days

A Florida nutritionist who spent about 200 hours reviewing the medical records of the late Dorothy Reynolds spent parts of two days on the stand in the Oconee Common Pleas Court. Dr. Rita Jackson was a plaintiff’s witness in the case alleging medical malpractice at Seneca Health and Rehabilitation. Jackson spent yesterday afternoon under cross examination by a defense attorney who questioned her repeatedly about Dorothy Reynolds’ weight loss at a hospital before her transfer to the health and rehabilitation facility. It’s the plaintiff’s contention that severe malnutrition was one of the conditions present before Reynolds, at the age of 87, died in 2011.
