Witnesses testify

January 30, 2014

Delayed by snow, an Oconee County trial has resumed in Walhalla. Witnesses for the prosecution were on the stand late this morning in South Carolina versus Jessie Wayne Davis. The 22-year old Oconeean went to trial Tuesday, charged with multiple offenses alleging sexual misconduct with two girls—8 and 11 years old. Testifying today were an investigator for the Sheriff’s Office and a hospital emergency room nurse. The investigator, Gentry Hawk, was questioned about an interview that defendant Davis gave officers about the alleged crimes against him.
