Woman accused of workplace-involved crime

A 38-year old Oconee woman has been arrested by the Sheriff’s Office on the charge of breach of trust with fraudulent intent.  A warrant issued by Magistrate Blake Norton charges Jillian Renee Fields of the Davis Mill Road with receiving “in trust cash/checks valued at $27,757.82 which belonged to the Mold Clinic.  Further,” according to the arrest affidavit, “the defendant then appropriated the property to her own use with the fraudulent intent to deprive the owner.”  The crime is alleged to have occurred July 1 at Community First banks in Seneca and Walhalla.  Fields, 38 years old, was arrested and released this morning from the Detention Center under the terms of a $7,500 surety bond.
