Woman charged with stealing truck near Seneca

A 26-year old Oconee County woman has been jailed on the charge of stealing her neighbor’s truck.  According to the Sheriff’s Office, Christy Ashtin Worley was charged with grand larceny of a 2008 maroon, 4-door GMC Sierra, which contained a bed cover valued at around $17 thousand.  The theft occurred at a home on Meldau Road and, in the course of their investigation, officers received information that led them to nearby O’Henry Lane and the arrest of Worley.  Sheriff’s Office spokesman Jimmy Watt quotes the victim of the theft as saying his wife awoke around 3 a-m Wednesday to a noise.  Three hours later the husband discovered the truck missing.
