Woman found guilty as charged

An Easley woman arrived a few minutes late for the start of her trial in Walhalla. Teresa Annette Davis told Oconee General Sessions Judge Lawton McIntosh that she had car trouble in what, for her, was a bad week. Davis’s week got worse yesterday when she was found guilty on two charges and sent to prison for 18 years. She is 48 years old. The jury found Davis guilty of burglary first degree and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. The crimes occurred February 10, 2014 at a house near Seneca, on N. Bayshore Drive. Douglas Paul, acting as house caretaker, discovered a burglary of the house which had been vacated by his surviving mother for her move into a nursing home. And, according to what the jury was told, Davis was found on the roof of the house. There on the roof, officers also found a broken glass pipe.
