Work on new bridge changes hands

The Oconee County new bridge project will close a road to thru traffic and require its users to take an alternate route.  Work by the county Roads and Bridges Department on the new Mauldin Mill Road bridge near Seneca begins Monday, December 14 and is estimated to take until March 25 to finish.  The specific part of the Mauldin Mill Road to be affected is that between Nowell Drive and Cedar Creek Lane.  Mack Kelly, Oconee County Engineer, says, “Every effort will be made to minimize inconvenience and reopen the road as soon as possible.”
