Work session for Oconee school trustees

A big ticket item appears on tonight’s agenda for Oconee County school trustees.  In their work session, trustees are to hear about a taxpayer-supported bond issue that would add $14.5 million to the district’s general obligation debt.  The agenda also calls for the trustees to discuss and take possible action to divest itself of some property.  Under consideration is to the transfer of the former Oakway school to Oconee County.  The meeting is 6 o’clock at district headquarters.
