Workman allegedly breaks into home near Walhalla

JamesAnthonyReed  A man doing work at a home near Walhalla while the family was on vacation has been arrested and charged with breaking into that home and stealing. Law enforcement reports today identify the man arrested as James Anthony Reed. Two addresses are listed for the 23-year old Reed: Allen Street, Seneca and Redland Ranch Road near Walhalla. He was placed in jail yesterday on charges of second degree burglary and grand larceny. The Sheriff’s Office June 2 investigated the theft May 28 of jewelry and electronic items from a home on Silent Creek Road near Coffee Road. According to Jimmy Watt, spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office, an investigator determined Reed had been doing work at the home at the time of the family’s vacation. Reed was being held today under a surety bond of $40 thousand.
