You could be the next Barbara Wilson!

At the request of the South Carolina DNR, Friends of Lake Keowee is recruiting nature-minded individuals to take part in an effort to collect and report rainfall data. It’s important for weather forecasters to have reliable information on rain. Those interested are being asked to measure for the country-wide organization Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network, sponsored by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the National Science Foundation. Between Greenville and Spartanburg there are 30 reporting stations, but just 11 between Oconee and Pickens. 96.3/WGOG relies on weather statistics provided by Barbara Wilson, an Official U-S Weather Observer in Walhalla. Wilson is part of a family that has kept weather records for about 100 years.
