20 new charges against Ivester

An Oconee County inmate was served yesterday with an additional 20 arrest warrants. According to the Sheriff’s Department, the new warrants naming Robert Scott Ivester cover each of Oconee’s public schools—charging him with disturbing schools. The warrants allege Ivester threatened to harm himself and others between April 29 and May 3 at a college campus. The warrants allege Ivester made the threats by telephone to an Oconee County probation officer. “Due to this threat,” according to the warrants, “the Oconee County schools were placed on code yellow, affecting the teachers and students….from conducting normal activities.” Ivester surrendered May 3.
