A-I-D sign OK’d

The newest addition to Oconee’s industrial community has been approved for a monument sign to let the world know of its new location in the county Commerce Park on highway 11. By action of the county Board of Appeals Thursday, the A-I-D Corporation received a variance of 25 feet from the front setback requirement within the zoning enabling law. Josh Stephens, county zoning administrator, says a 46-inch-by 96-inch lighted sign will be installed by the company Hilton Displays. Work on that sign begins in the next week.
