A new drug sweep in Oconee

“Operation Infinity” drug sweep #13 is underway in Oconee County.  The roundup started Friday morning with the Sheriff’s Office receiving help from the Seneca and Walhalla police.  By mid afternoon Friday, four of the 18 people being sought were in custody. “Our thirteenth “Operation Infinity” drug sweep reflects our continued commitment we have made to combat the drug problem in Oconee County,” says Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw.  “Along with our treatment and education programs and the start of drug court in Oconee County for users of narcotics, we continue to work to make Oconee County a safer place for those we serve.” Charges involved in this roundup are methamphetamine, prescription drugs, and marijuana and crack cocaine.  Some individuals in this drug sweep are being sought on charges of Unlawful Neglect of a Child.
