A second State Municipal award for Seneca

The rebuilt Seneca Water Plant is an award-winner in the eyes of a set of judges representing the South Carolina Municipal Association.  Utilities Director Bob Faires and Water Plant Superintendent Steve Fletcher returned from their Columbia trip this week with word that their city’s $10 million dollar project to rebuild and modernize the treatment plant  won an award competition involving public utility projects.  Faires said the award will be formally presented to the city officials during the Municipal Association’s July meeting in Charleston.  Last year Seneca won a similar award from the municipal association for its achievement of an all-electric powered passenger bus service.
