Accused driver denied bond

Authorities say, for the time being, the Seneca man arrested and charged with felony leaving the scene of an accident will remain jailed. The spokesman for the sheriff’s office said bond for 19-year old John Miller Jr. was denied this morning; a $25 thousand bond with surety was set for Jima Leigh Schuch. Under that surety bond, the 35-year old Schuch, identified as the registered owner of the car that allegedly struck and killed an 11-year old girl, was returned to her jail cell. The Sheriff’s Office released an officer’s report which states, in part, “The female subject (Schuch) stated the vehicle has damaged to it from an incident that occurred in November of 2017. The female subject stated that while a friend was driving her vehicle she had a collision with a deer….”
