Aftermath of the deep freeze

Freezing temperatures and a water pipe burst last month left the offices of Oconee’s South Cove Park un-inhabitable, and last night the County Council came to the rescue. At the recommendation of its administrator, the council authorized the demolition of the office and building and their replacement. The estimate to replace is in the vicinity of $200 thousand, but Administrator Scott Moulder says the county intends to do some of the work “in-house.”
