An improved Oconee job picture

In the month of March, Oconee County recorded lower unemployment rates than did South Carolina and the rest of the country. Joblessness among county residents dropped to 4%, from February’s 4.5%. The numbers show that out of a potential workforce of nearly 35 thousand, about 33 and half thousand Oconeeans are gainfully employed. Across South Carolina the March jobless rate was 4.4.%; in the U-S, it was 4.1%.
