Anderson driver charged with OC drug offense

A 30-year motorist from Anderson was pulled off a rural Oconee highway near I-85 and charged with violating the state’s drug laws. What got the attention of sheriff’s deputy Aaron Hanks was a blue Chevy Tahoe missing a tail light and swerving across the double yellow line of south highway 11 headed for I-85. The arrest of Teresa Shanntae Porter occurred during the early morning hours yesterday. According to deputy Hanks’ report, a test of the substance of a small bag containing a white crystal substance proved positive for methamphetamine or MDMA—ecstasy.
