The appearance of at least one-half dozen white vans at the location where Publix plans a supermarket gave rise yesterday to speculation that, finally, the chain will convert space formerly used for a Bi-Lo into one of its stores.  The location is a strip shopping center across from Seneca’s Ingle’s store.

Once again, Walhalla’s Stumphouse Tunnel Park will be closed for today.  By closing the popular recreation area, according to City Administrator Brent Taylor, crews will be able to fix the road damaged by recent hard downpours.
