Award nominees sought

For the 20th year, the State Department of Natural Resources is asking for nominations for the South Carolina Environmental Awareness Award.  The award acknowledges outstanding contributions made toward the protection, conservation, and improvement of South Carolina’s natural resources.  The General Assembly established the SC Environmental Awareness Award during the 1992 legislative session. Each year the public is invited to submit nominations that are then reviewed by an awards committee, which considers excellence in innovation, leadership, and accomplishments that influence positive changes. The nomination form is available for download from the DNR’s website.  You can also call the regional office for more information at 654-1671.  The deadline for nominations is January 31, 2013.
