Best eclipse advice: find spot and stay there

Other than be sure to wear protective glasses, the best advice that the Oconee Sheriff can give about safety on Monday is to find a spot and stay there for the eclipse.  Authorities are worried about additional traffic and, from a safety standpoint, don’t want drivers pulling off the sides of the roads during what will be night time conditions.  Sheriff Mike Crenshaw says law enforcement and emergency services are hearing estimates of the potential for hundreds of thousands of people for the rare event.  Adding to the congestion will be move-in weekend this weekend at Clemson University, and Crenshaw advises people to avoid Clemson and the Oconee area near the university if at all possible.
