Bond denied for man charged with attempted murder
A circuit judge said no this afternoon to a request to set bond in the case of a Westminster man charged with two offenses. Judge Scott Sprouse rejected the bond request on behalf of defendant Scott Conquest. A Westminster man, Conquest faces the charge of attempted murder as the result of an incident alleged to have occurred in June 25, 2015 in the yard of a home on SC 24/the West-Oak Highway. The state has also served notice that it plans to go to trial against Conquest on a second offense, alleging peeping tom/eavesdropping. Beth Blundy, assistant solicitor, says a trial date has not been set.
