Cain and Inabinet make first joint appearance

The two men who have their eyes on the vacant seat on the Oconee County Council made their first joint appearance last night in a forum designed to allow voters to size of each individual and learn where they stand on the issues. The appearance by Paul Cain and Andy Inabinet at a meeting arranged by the group Limited Government for Oconee may turn out to be the first of at least two joint appearance before special primary day April 1. There’s speculation that the League of Women Voters may stage a second forum, perhaps the night of Monday, March 24. Once opening comments were completed, a question asked by 96.3/WGOG NEWS led to the candidates explaining their positions on whether government should offer financial incentives to businesses. And later the candidates outlined their positions on how much secrecy while a county goes about enticing economic development to create jobs and strengthen the tax base. Those positions by Cain and Inabinet can be heard through out the day here on 96.3/WGOG NEWS.
