Campus police release composite sketch

Clemson University police released a composite sketch today of a suspect in a weekend armed robbery attempt. The man is described as white, in his late 20s, early 30s, about 6 feet 2 inches with a thin build, clean-shaven and wearing a light-colored shirt and dark pants. The victim described the car as two-door, sporty, and smaller than a Honda Civic. A female student was walking along Williamson Road outside Gate 1 of Memorial Stadium when a man with a handgun got out of a car and demanded that she give him a bag she was carrying. He got back into the car and headed toward Perimeter Road. Police ask that anyone with information call them at 864-656-2222. The incident happened around 10:40 p-m Saturday near Stadium Suites on campus.
