Candidates and crowd left out in a cold rain

The candidates and their followers will have to wait another week. Last night’s scheduled forum for the two men running for Seat Three, Oconee County Council was called off when it was discovered that the meeting room had no lights, no heat, and no chairs. On behalf of the group Limited Government for Oconee, Judy Adams apologized to candidates Paul Cain and Andy Inabinet. They reached gentleman’s agreement to re-assemble on Wednesday next week at a time and at an alternate location to be announced. Last night’s designated meeting place, an office in a small strip shopping center, apparently had been vacated by a church which had rented the space—and with the church went the chairs. Adams turned a key to the front door only to find, to her surprise, the power had been disconnected.
