Oconee Federal in expansion mode to Clemson

Oconee Federal Savings and Loan, with locations in Oconee County and parts of northeast Georgia, is looking toward expanding to the Pickens County city of Clemson. On the agenda of the Clemson Board of Architectural Review January 8 is a request by Oconee Federal for a preliminary review of a proposed bank to be located at 208 Kelly Road.

Pools of water accumulate on streets

The rain has been failing so hard that sections of Oconee roads, streets and highways can’t handle all the water. Case in point is SC 183/the Walhalla-Westminster Highway leading into Walhalla. Sections of that two-lane road are beginning to cover in pools water. Especially the College Street-S. Broad Street intersection in front of the Visit Oconee offices.
