AT&T outage blocked 9-1-1 calls

For a period of hours yesterday morning and afternoon, a phone company outage prevented 9-1-1 calls from being received by the Oconee E-911/Communications Center at the Law Enforcement Center. Until service was restored by mid afternoon, the 9-1-1 center was able to accommodate only calls made from landline phones. It’s believed that no major emergencies were missed during the outage.
