Fire investigation at Walhalla

Fire during the 3 o’clock hour this morning burned a trailer and a car inside a Walhalla mobile home park at the city’s western edge.  The fire department reports Oconee Sheriff’s Office is investigating the fire inside a mobile home park on WS Broad Street near the Highlands Highway.  No injuries reported.

Clemson community dialogue tonight

A third meeting takes place tonight of Clemson United for Racial Equality.  It’s a community engagement dialogue that tackles topics such as affordable housing, policing, and education.  Tonight’s meeting will run 6:30 to 8 at the Littlejohn Community Center, 644 Old Greenville Highway.  Seating is limited; social distancing encouraged.

Fire at Walhalla’s western edge

Fire fighters are said to have finished their work this morning at the western edge of Walhalla city limits.  County Rural Fire reported a fire call at 3:40 this morning to Marv’s Drive near W. Main Street and the Highlands Highway.  No one reported hurt; however, not clear as to the nature of the fire and what exactly burned.
