Ceremony to remember Oconeeans killed in Korea and Vietnam

A ceremony takes place Saturday in Westminster to remember those Oconeeans killed during the Korea and Vietnam periods. “My hat’s off to l the folks in Westminster who’ve seen fit to commemorate all the service of the wonderful veterans through the veterans park there,” Jerry Dyar says. Dyar, the Oconee Veterans Affairs Officer, says he looks forward to keynoting Saturday’s event, and he hopes as many people as possible attend. The ceremony will be 11 a-m at the Westminster at the Veterans Park, near the SC 183-U-S 123 traffic lights.
