Chase starts in Walhalla and ends on SC 11

A police chase that started in Walhalla ended miles out of town. But it ended with the police and county officers finally getting their man. Capt. Curtis Rogers of the Walhalla police says a city officer spotted an SUV run off College Street late Friday afternoon. Blue lights and sirens were turned on, but Rogers says the driver would not stop and a chase that, at times reached 70 miles an hour, eventually ended when the vehicle “spun out” at SC 11 and highway 24. According to Rogers, driver John Michael Zaniboni was charged with seven offenses—including child endangerment. Rogers says two children were inside the car.
