Chrisley on Facebook withdraws pool pitch, mayor says

TV reality show host Todd Chrisley has withdrawn his proposal to lease the Westminster swim pool and expand it into an aquatic center, according to Mayor Brian Ramey.  The mayor said today Chrisley announced the withdrawal and claims to have received an email from a city council member that said the city was not being honest in its interest to make a deal.  Ramey tried during a meeting last week to find out which council member had sent the email, but to no avail.  To counteract the impression that the city was not being forthright, Ramey says, city administrator Chris Carter in an email replied to Chrisley explaining that the city wanted to see a concept drawing of what Chrisley had in mind, but no detailed architect plans at this point.  Earlier, according to Carter, Chrisley sought assurance the city would reimburse him for the costs of architect plans if no agreement were reached to lease the pool and property.  The Chrisley proposal withdrawn, the mayor says, the council will need to talk about plans to keep the pool open for a second year next year.
