Church vandals likely were teenagers

An act of vandalism in Utica near Seneca was cut short Saturday when a village resident spotted what was going on and warned the perpetrators he was calling the Oconee Sheriff’s Department. The case of spray painting at the House of Judah on Goddard Avenue remains open today, but officers have a description of the clothing worn by the spray painters. The vandals, believed to have been teenagers, spray painted the church back door in the color black. Before their act was interrupted, the vandals had started to paint a circle on a back window.
