City of Clemson issues boil water advisory

By Chad Dorsett

The City of Clemson issued a boil water advisory at 7am today, Oct. 27, 2016, for the residents of Hillcrest Avenue, Addison Lane, and North Clemson Avenue. The City of Clemson advises these residents to vigorously boil their water for at least one full minute prior to drinking or cooking. Residents should continue to vigorously boil their water until otherwise notified by the City of Clemson. Also, any ice made from water, which has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes. This advisory is being issued as a precaution only due low water pressure caused by a water line tie-in on Old Greenville Highway. The City of Clemson will collect water samples in this area and results should be completed around 9am on Friday, Oct. 28, 2016 and posted to the City of Clemson website at www.cityofclemson.org.
