Clemson returns to normal

Clemson University classes and offices are back on normal schedule. Water service has been restored to campus but, until further notice, the boil water advisory remains in effect. For now, city of Clemson advises residents to vigorously boil their water for at least one full minute before drinking or cooking. Any ice made from water that has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes. The advisory is a precaution only because of the service interruption caused by a break on the main line from Anderson. The Anderson Regional Joint Water System is at work to correct the problem. The results of water samples should be received by 6 p-m today and posted on the city of Clemson web site: www.cityofclemson.org. Questions should be referred to the Clemson utilities department at 864/6653-2046 or, after normal business hours, the police at 864/624-2000.
