Co-winners of Law Officer of Year

A Seneca policeman and a state trooper walked away last night as co-winners of the 2013 Law Officer of the Year, as awarded by American Legion Post 120. Both Sgt. Robbie Johnson of the Seneca police and Lance Corporal Jason Stewart of the S.C. Highway Patrol received large framed certificates, as presented by Post Commander Carlton Patterson. From the start of last night’s annual Jake Robinson Law Enforcement Dinner, Patterson made clear that veterans and the community are grateful to law enforcement. Featured speaker last night was South Carolina Adjutant General Robert Livingston Jr., who is the only elected adjutant general in the United States. Livingston concentrated his remarks about America’s military, specifically what the National Guard does in Afghanistan.
