Coaches Headed to Hall of Fame

The South Carolina Football Coaches Association has announced its 2015 Hall of Fame inductees for its second class. The inductees are Doug Bennett, who coached at Sharon and Swansea High Schools; Shell Dula from Ninety-Six, Union, & Greenwood; Bettis Herlong of Saluda, Aiken, Johnston, Strom Thurmond, & Brookland-Cayce; Leon Maxwell from Latta, St. Stephens, and Bamberg-Erhardt; Johnny Roscoe, coach at Bonds-Wilson, Hartsville, & Lancaster; Bill Seigler of Camden Military Academy, Hartsville, and Hanahan; Bill Tate of Timmonsville; Moose Wallace from Lewisville & Northwestern; Virgil Wells, who coached at Mayo & Wilson High Schools; and Cecil Woolbright from Winyah, Latta, Cardinal Newman, and Chapin High Schools. The banquet to honor these coaches will take place on Friday, December 11 at The Landmark Resort on South Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach.
