Columbia man arrested in 2013 Wal-Mart shoplifting

A Columbia man remained in the Oconee jail over the weekend, having been charged in a case of shoplifting at the Wal-Mart three years ago.  The Oconee Sheriff’s Office located Ontorio Cortez Waymyers (right) in a Myrtle Beach jail. He stands accused of taking 18 iPhones, worth nearly $11 thousand dollars, from the Seneca Wal-Mart. According to investigators, Waymyers spoke to an employee in the electronics department late in the evening of March 14th, 2013 about iPhones.  He then allegedly went behind the counter in electronics after midnight March 15th and pried the locked box open and took the phones.
