Contractor gets four OC resurfacing jobs

During the last month of winter and the first two months of spring, Oconeeans can look for crews from a Greenville road paver at resurfacing projects near Seneca and Walhalla. Ashmore Brothers has been awarded a contract to resurface sections of four roads and highways. And Ryan Miller, construction engineer for the DOT, says a pre-construction conference takes place next week. The resurfacing will take place on parts of secondary 3/the West Union Road, a block of Earle Street, Walhalla, a section of Maple Street/Coffee Road at Walhalla, and U-S 123 east of Seneca, from Lindsay Road to Brookwood Drive. Miller says the 123 work will be done at night, but the first resurfacing will be the West Union Road.
