Cursive handwriting primed for return

A panel of Oconee teachers believes it’s in the best interests of local education for cursive handwriting instruction to be returned to their curriculum. Students of yesterday will remember cursive writing for its flowing strokes of characters and rounded angles. Officially, cursive writing has been out of the state’s curriculum for several years. But, according to Dr. Mike Lucas, county superintendent, it looks like its primed to make a comeback.
