Devil’s Fork State Park observed silver anniversary

A South Carolina state park at the edge of Lake Jocassee is 25 years old this month. Kevin Evans, the park manager, says the silver anniversary came during Labor Day weekend. Devil’s Fork State Park opened in 1991.  For the early years, Devil’s Fork was considered a hidden treasure, then the word spread.  Its offerings, such as rustic walk-in tent sites and furnished mountain villas, attract visitors.
