Dexter: lake levels are “relative”

No matter where you might live, across the Savannah River basin, the level of the water that passes by on its way from the mountains to the sea is relative, according to an Oconee County councilman. Reg Dexter lives on Lake Hartwell. And he said last night that he and others who live on Hartwell lakefront could only wish they faced a draw down of five feet. Whereas, in the case of Hartwell managed by the Corps of Engineers, property owners have seen four to five times lower levels.
