Diplomat Tim Hall home for the holiday week

The Oconeean who has enjoyed a long career as a diplomat with the U-S Foreign Service has returned with his family for a July 4 week vacation.  Tim Hall III is catching up on a lot of Oconee County news that he missed while on assignments across the globe.  But he’s also spreading news about the work of the Foreign Service and the goodwill that it spreads for the United States.  After outposts in countries such India,Pakistan, Mexico, and Argentina, Hall is now assigned to Washington where he has done work on Iraq and Cuban affairs.  Around 9-11 Hall, then a Blue Ridge banker and Oconee County councilman, left his home county to train for the diplomatic corps.  He says he plans to spend four more years with the service and then return to his home county.
