Duke makes Walhalla an offer

Duke Energy Foundation has offered to help Walhalla beautify its Streetscape grounds.  Coming out of a Partners for Progress meeting last night, the Duke offer is a financial contribution, along with the labor, to play shrubs and other greenery.  Dan Pollock, president of Partners for Progress, says the intent is to come up with a plan so that the work made possible by Duke complements a similar commitment made by the owners of the Streetcape contractor company to beautify the two middle of Main Street medians—between College and Spring streets.
