Duncan back in D.C. to combat Obamacare

Congressman Jeff Duncan, having returned to Washington, told reporters he favors continued funding of government programs, so long as that means no Obamacare. Duncan explained that his support of House action reflects feedback he and his office are getting from across the Third District from those who oppose the changes that the Affordable Care Act are bringing. But he expressed uncertainty as to how his and the Republican-controlled House sentiments will fare in the Senate, where Democrats enjoy a majority. “We’ll see what happens when the Senate sends it back,” Duncan said. The Republican lawmaker spoke admiringly of Texas Senator Ted Cruz for delivering a 22-hour filibuster in opposition to Obamacare.
