Duncan laments V-A’s failings

Congressman Jeff Duncan, in a conference call with reporters, is speaking out today about the failing of the Veterans Administration and how the House of Representatives is trying to address them with legislation. The South Carolina 3rd District Republican’s comments on a day when the Associated Press reports that fake appointments were among the tricks used to disguise delays in seeing and treating veterans at government hospitals and clinics. One bill in particular, passed by the House in April, Duncan said, passed an appropriations bill that would prioritizes clearing up the V-A’s backlog situation. But, he said, the Senate has failed to act.
