Early Friday Accident Claims Teenager

A Seneca teenager is dead after a single vehicle collision which occurred at approximately 3:30 am on Friday morning, November 29, 2013. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the collision which occurred on SC Highway 24 (West Oak Highway) in the Oakway Community near Westminster. Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis says Jesse Logan Hannah, 14, of 322 Rodgers Road, Seneca, was pronounced dead at 4:46 am at the emergency department located at Oconee Medical Center in Seneca. He died from multiple trauma. An autopsy will be performed later today. According to authorities, it has been reported the decedent was the driver of the vehicle involved in this collision; three other teenagers were in the vehicle. The vehicle in which they were occupied reportedly failed to stop for a Westminster Police officer after an apparent traffic violation was witnessed. A chase ensued. The condition of the other occupants of the vehicle is unknown, although it is believed none of their injuries were life threatening.
