Emergency food and shelter money

Funds through “FEMA”—the Federal Emergency Management Agency—will help Oconeeans who qualify pay for emergency food and shelter.  Oconee County’s share in the amount of $35,485 is to be distributed by the United Way.  The United Way invites interested social service agencies to apply for funds by contacting Kimberly Ellis at 882-9743 ext. 106 no later than noon Friday, June 24.
