Federal suit announced in Hammond case

The attorney for Zachary Hammond’s family has given notice that a civil lawsuit is expected to be placed on record today in the Anderson division of the U-S District Court.  It pertains to the estate of Hammond and names as defendants the Seneca police, Mark Tiller, and John Covington.  As explained by Hammond attorneys, the federal court action is aimed at producing what the Hammond side wants but, for now, can’t get.  And that’s the video and audio recordings, as well as opinions given by SLED of its investigation of Hammond’s death in the restaurant parking lot two months ago.
