Final resolution to take further meetings

Making sure that Duke Energy has covered everything that should be in its review for a potential Jocassee dam failure is the reason for a meeting tomorrow near Washington, but a spokesman for the government says tomorrow’s meeting is considered routine and will require more meetings before Duke submits a final product to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The NRC’s Roger Hannah says there will be further meetings, including at least one in Oconee County where Duke is licensed to operate power-generating facilities. Tomorrow afternoon’s meeting, from 1 to 2:30, at Nuclear Regulatory Commission offices in Rockville, Maryland.
