Football stadium begins to take shape!

A new football stadium has begun to take shape at the Walhalla High School construction project. And the acting superintendent for Oconee public schools clarifies a report about how soon athletic facilities at the new complex will be ready for use. Contractors have begun to pour the walls for the visitors’ side of the stadium off SC 11. And Dr. Michael Thorsland predicts, passersby soon will begin to notice work on the bleachers. In spite of a summer of heavy rain, the schedule still holds for the school to be ready for students in fall 2015. The hope is for the athletic facilities to be ready for the spring of that year. That’ll mean the Razorbacks will play home games at the existing campus for two more seasons.
